Anita Atukunda

She is a seasoned Environmental Engineer with over 8 years of experience, and  passionate about Occupational Health and Safety. She holds a BSc and MSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering respectively, is NEBOSH-certified, and registered as an Environmental Practitioner with NEMA. Her expertise spans Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, environmental audits, waste and risk management plans, as well as HS&E compliance monitoring and supervision. 

Currently, she serves as the H3SE Regional Officer at Nexus Green Ltd., where she oversees the design and construction of more than 80 solar-powered irrigation and water supply projects across Northern Uganda. Her work reflects a strong commitment to advancing development in vulnerable communities through climate-resilient technology and sustainable environmental solutions.

Arthur Mugabi

Mugabi Arthur is an accomplished cybersecurity and internal audit professional with a proven track record in governance, risk management, compliance, and digital forensics. With over a decade of progressive experience, Arthur has held key leadership roles—most recently serving as the Group Manager of Internal Audit at Abacus Pharma Africa Limited, where he led critical initiatives in audit automation, fraud risk control, and internal control assessment and monitoring across the organization’s regional operations.

A 2018 Commonwealth Awardee, Arthur holds a Master of Science in Computer Forensics from University of South Wales and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Makerere University. He is credentialed with some of the industry’s most respected certifications, including Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA), and PRINCE2 Practitioner. Pauline currently serves as the Director Complaints Investigation and Legal Services, Uganda Human Rights Commission, a role she took up after while Cohort II of the JTB program was in session. In this role she is the Chief Legal Advisor to the Commission and leads a team of 18 lawyers in supporting the Human Rights Tribunal function. 

Her areas of practice include Human Rights, Administrative Law and Legal Advisory Services. 

In addition to running the Show Up Mentorship Class, which is currently running its second cohort, she is a co-founder of Elora International Christian School in Namugongo based on the ACE curriculum which exists to educate for now and Eternity where she is the Board Chairperson. She also serves as Board Secretary for The Ideas Workshop, an NGO which empowers visually impaired students with carpentry skills for self-sustenance. 

DIGITAL FORENSIC INVESTIGATOR, UGANDA REVENUE AUTHORITY

A dedicated Digital Forensic Investigator at Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) where he plays a pivotal role in financial investigations and data security. With certifications in ethical hacking, data analysis, digital forensics, and Cisco network engineering, Ntomi brings deep expertise to complex cases involving data evidence and network security. His contributions to major projects, such as Jumia Uganda’s logistics operations and Huawei’s Safe City Project in Kampala, demonstrate his impact on digital security and innovation.

Beyond his investigative work, Ntomi is an entrepreneur, running Ad Infinitum, a digital advertising company, and Amaja, an online shopping platform—ventures that underscore his passion for digital advancement.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Security Technology from Multimedia University in Malaysia and a Master’s in Computer Engineering from Harbin Engineering University in China, Ntomi’s academic and professional journey exemplifies his commitment to excellence.

Diana is an advocate registered with the Ugandan Courts of Judicature. She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda, the African Corporate and Government Counsel Forum, the Uganda Law Society, the East African Law Society, and Women in Energy and Extractives. At the moment, she leads the legal unit at the National Council of Sports as a Senior Legal Officer. She was previously employed at Nangwala, Rezida & Co. Advocates and Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited as a Legal Officer. She has been in practice for eight (8) years.

She studied at the Uganda Management Institute and holds an MBA with a Management specialty. She has a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center.

Over the years, Diana has gained a great deal of experience in practice, especially in the public and private sectors. She is also a OnePointFive Academy Fellow (based in New York, USA) and an ESG enthusiast who is interested in helping companies expand sustainably.

She has also undergone mentorship training for governance professionals organized by the the Chartered Governance Institute UK (formerly Insitute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators – ICSA) East African Chapter in Kampala-Uganda.

Jeremiah Lwebuga

Jeremiah Lwebuga, an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s Inclusive Finance Program, is a seasoned digital economy and transformation practitioner. He has over 14 years experience in driving commercial growth of digital product and service innovations.

He is an non-executive director at the Ledge board, an investment portfolio founded by a group of HBS SLIP Alumni focused on sub-saharan Africa. He has held senior leadership positions, including National Digital Innovations and Blockchain Lead at the United Nations (FAO). In addition, he has served at two regional Fintechs as the Chief Operations Officer and Country Managers positions, among others.

Jeremiah’s diverse experience spans multiple markets, including Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Ghana, Rwanda, and Ethiopia, gaining local and international benchmarks, best practices, and strategic considerations required to scale commercial and development digital initiatives.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), and is both an alumnus of the US Professional Fellows Program from the University of Alaska, Anchorage, and The Africa List (CDC), a select community of high-performing private sector executives in Africa. He has certification from different interdisciplinary training from Digital frontier institute, Swansea University and Ghent University. Her career then transitioned to PR and Communications at Scanad Uganda, where she worked with renowned clients like Bell Lager, Coca-Cola, Unilever, and KCB Bank.

Tina’s accomplishments in PR continued at MultiChoice Uganda, where she led notable campaigns, including the MultiChoice 20th anniversary and the launch of Pearl Magic. Currently, she serves as the Communications Officer at the British High Commission in Kampala and is a past President of the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU).

Patience K. Buhikire

Patience is an accomplished Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and subordinate Courts with over 14 years of experience in the legal field. She currently serves as the Head of Legal & Advisory Services at the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), where she has established a fully-fledged legal department responsible for litigation, legal strategy, reform initiatives, and providing legal advisory to the Bureau and its stakeholders.

She holds an MBA from ESAMI, a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center. Additionally, she has earned an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Public Leadership and a certification in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) from the Boardroom Africa. Patience is a Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths. She is also a member of Uganda Law Society and East African Law Society.

Over the course of her career, she has held key positions at Uganda Telecom Limited and Kiwanuka & Karugire Advocates (now K&K), where she gained extensive experience in corporate legal practice, policy reform, public and private sector advisory. Her work continues to influence Uganda’s legal and governance framework, especially in the areas of commercial law and corporate governance.

Dr. Betty Nsangi Kintu

Her illustrious career includes leadership roles such as Project Manager for the ACE-Bunyoro Project, where she oversaw a PEPFAR/CDC-funded initiative across nine districts, and Team Leader for TB & HIV Services under the USAID RHITES-EC project. Dr. Nsangi has also served as Executive Director of Reach Out Mbuya, spearheading community-based HIV care efforts.

With a background that combines medicine, public health, and epidemiology, she brings unparalleled expertise to strategic healthcare planning, research, and mentoring young professionals. Dr. Nsangi currently serves on the Boards of two community-based organizations, continuing her legacy of impactful service.

Bernard Mukasa

Bernard is an advocate with over 14 years of legal experience across East Africa and Africa. He has a strong background in multi-jurisdictional practice and is part of the Corporate and Financial Advisory team at Ortus Advocates.

His areas of expertise include commercial law, insolvency and business rescue, intellectual property, media law, sports law, and employment law.

Before co-founding Ortus, he was at ENSafrica, Africa’s leading law firm, for over 8 years, where he advised on a multitude of legal, corporate, transactional, and regulatory matters. 

He is a registered Insolvency Practitioner, an African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO) agent, a Ugandan trademark agent, a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public.

He was part of the International Lawyers for Africa (ILFA) Program in 2014, where he was seconded to magic circle law firm Freshfields LLP at their London Office for 5 months.

He holds a Bachelors of Law (LLB) (MUK), Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LDC), Masters of Law (LLM) (UEL) and various certifications in Intellectual Property, Trial Advocacy, Patent Drafting, Mediation and Arbitration.

Outside the law he is a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Kololo Kampala and an amateur football coach who supports Arsenal and KCCA FC.

Francis is a dynamic marketing and business leader with over three years of leadership experience, recently serving as Marketing Manager – Mainstream Spirits at Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL), part of East African Breweries Limited. With a strong foundation in Finance and Accounting, a BSc in Business Statistics, and an MBA, Francis combines strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and creativity to drive impactful business outcomes.  

Having successfully led innovation-driven initiatives and consumer-centric strategies, Francis has consistently delivered measurable growth while fostering collaboration and agility within teams. His leadership approach is rooted in sustainability, innovation, and creating long-term value.  

Currently transitioning to the next phase of his career, Francis is focused on preparing for leadership at the highest levels, with the ambition of joining the C-suite. He envisions establishing generational businesses that drive sustainable success across Africa, blending purpose with profitability to create lasting impact.
