Kate Airey was appointed as the British High Commissioner to Uganda at the end of 2019, and began work in November 2020.
She began her career working at Oxfam in September 1999 and transferred to Shell International a year later, working as a Senior Consultant in Africa and Europe.
Airey joined the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in 2005, and had roles in London including Africa Energy Adviser, Lead on Strategy, and Lead on Prosperity.

Michael Atingi-Ego is a Ugandan economist, who was appointed Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda, on 29 March 2020. At the time of his appointment, he served as the executive director of the Macroeconomics and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa (MEFMI), based in Harare, Zimbabwe
